Moving Into New Home Procedure

Unread postby choesf » Mon Jan 25, 2010 11:40 am

Good evening, dear Master :D:

Yesterday, I had someone asked me what suitable ritual or procedures we can do before we move into our new home, and I would like to know what is Master's advice for this (e.g. when to place SCC at new place, when to request for prayers, to move in before or after the furniture go in, etc) . :thinking :thinking :thinking

Thank you. :D:

With love, peace and joy,

choesf :D:

Place An scc in the new house 3 to 7 days before shift in.

Try to shift in - in the morning.

Try to place the altar first - then light candles or incense. ( skip this one if no altar )

Then one can start to place all furniture and belonging.

It is good to list names for Tai Sui Prayer.

It is also good - 1 or 2 days before shift in - list names for Prayer request.

Dear Choesf,
Thank you very much for posting on my behalf, as I was really tied up with the house renovation & work.

Dear Master,
Appreciate your advice. I have a few clarifications.
- I have already listed my family & myself for Tai Sui Prayers few wks ago. Do I need to re-list again when I shift?
- I came across some move-in ritual like sprinkling salt, green beans & rice around the house, bringing in fruits eg. pineapple and kueh to house etc on move-in day. Is this necessary & is it to be done before the movers bring in the furniture or can it be done after that?

Thanks very much,
Jen

You are most welcome, dear Jen. You have asked a very interesting question anyway and other members would benefit from Master's moving house ritual/procedure. :vh:

List once for Tai Sui Prayer 2010 is sufficient. :-)

Just follow what i said and not necessary to do the above.

Dear master

Any particular room or direction to place an SCC before moving in the new home?

Is the Scc placement depends on that particular year eg 2014 Scc placement is different from 2015 ?

After move in, must relocate the Scc to a safe location or direction?

Awaiting your advices.

Thank you.

Place scc in the north sector of the house or room is suitable - before moving into the house - not necessary to relocate the scc after moving into the house.

List your house for Prayer in the Prayer Room before moving in is a smart move.

One Scc in the north is Fixed every year - one more scc will sit where star #5 is at.

Good Luck.
